Foreplay.co - It's Like Pinterest for Paid Media

In paid media agencies it is pretty common to use Facebook Ads library to gather inspiration for new ads and keep track of the ads that competitors are uploading. But let’s be honest and admit that using Facebook Ads Library is a pretty clunky and unintuitive process. There is no way to save the ads that you want to refer to later and even if you do keep a document with links to the ads, those links frequently expire before you’re done using them. Between expired links and screenshots of ads in slack messages there has got to be a better way. This is the exact opportunity that the folks at Foreplay.co saw and committed to making this process so much smoother!

A look at some of my saved ads in the Swipe File tab.

They have a chrome extension that allows you to save ads in Facebook Ads library to your Foreplay.co account. This ensures access to the full ad later without searching through slack messages full of screenshots and unusable links. I also love searching directly within Foreplay.co in their Discovery tab. This allows me to see ads saved by other users on the site. I work on lots of creative production in our agency - making new creative and iterating on past top performers. I am always eager to find new ways to visually convey important information. This kind of Pinterest-style inspiration is hard to find on Facebook Ads library as I tend to find lots of sub-par ads from companies that I have never heard of. Foreplay.co’s Discovery tab is great because it only shows you ads that other people have saved. It is much easier to find high-quality creative inspiration when it has already been filtered and hand selected by other users.

Saving an ad from the Discovery tab in a few easy clicks!

For example, I was making new review ads for one of our clients and I was wondering if there was a more interesting way to approach this creative. I did a quick search in the Discovery tab and I found this ad for Pipcorn. I thought that this was perfect since the bird’s eye view of the cheese balls reminded me of the Kid’s Ball Pit that I was making new ads for. I would never have thought of showcasing the ball pit this way but I am so thrilled with the outcome! A quick search on Foreplay.co inspired a whole new approach to the standard static review ad. Who would have thought that I would gain inspiration from a cheese ball ad!

There are lots of other features in Foreplay.co like creative brief creation, automatic tracking of competitors’ ads with Spyder Beta, the ability to save TikTok and LinkedIn ads and more. No matter what role you play in a paid media agency there is bound to be a feature in Foreplay.co that makes your job just a little bit easier.
