Behind the Scenes: Creating Viral Ads that Clients Will Love

Have you ever wanted to create awesome ads but weren’t sure where to start? In this article you can see my step-by-step process of how I turned ideas into finalized advertisements for one of our clients.

Step 1: Strategic Planning

  • Brainstormed creative and engaging concepts that aligned with the client’s brand identity. 

  • Considered different story arcs, settings, and activities that showcase the versatility and performance of the product.

  • Once the idea was solidified, I created a detailed storyboard that outlines the sequence of shots, key visuals, and narrative flow.

  • Considered location, filming equipment, script or outline, and any other pre-production needs. 

Step 2: Curate High-Impact Content

  • Prioritized content that effectively showcased the key features and benefits of Tifosi sunglasses (durability, UV protection, and style).

  • Selected clips that highlight specific functionalities during different sports and activities.

  • Produced high-quality content that enhances the overall professionalism of the UGC-style video.

Step 3: Professional Editing for Maximum Impact

  • Used professional editing tools to enhance the video's visual appeal.

  • Ensured seamless transitions, dynamic visuals, copy, and a consistent theme that aligned with Tifosi's brand identity.

  • Selected a fitting soundtrack that complements the energy and mood of the video.

  • Got final approval from key decision-makers before publishing and promoting the video.

Step 4: Strategic Ad Placement + Monitoring for Success

  • Strategically placed the UGC-style video ad across various digital channels, targeting Tifosi's key demographics.

  • Optimized ad placements for maximum visibility and impact.

  • Monitored key performance indicators (KPIs) such as click-through rates, conversions, and engagement.

When uploading to Meta make sure to keep all text overlays within the “safe zone guardrail”. These guardrails vary between Stories placements (left) and Reels placements (right).

Tip: Optimize for Virality

  • Tailor the video for each social media platform, optimizing for shareability and engagement.

  • Leverage trending hashtags or challenges to tap into wider audiences.

  • Experiment with different ad formats, including video ads, carousel ads, or story ads.

  • Optimize ad placements based on where the target audience is most likely to engage with the content.
